About Us

Our project

Conscious choices and materials that speak the language of nature
Eco Chalet Alchemilla:
our straw house

Our straw house was born from a deep desire to create a place where people could feel safe.
A place that welcomes, warms and embraces.

At night, when snow falls softly and silently outside, the house glows with warm light. The wood brightens the darkness, the roof shelters, the walls breathe. It is a living home, one that follows the rhythm of the seasons and carries the scent of nature and tranquillity. It was built not only with natural materials, but with intention, respect and love.

Sustainable Materials

An architecture that breathes

Alongside straw, the walls are entirely made of clay, enriched with lavender, mother-of-pearl and rice husks. Simple, ancient materials chosen for their ability to protect, harmonise and create a healthy living environment.

Clay regulates humidity, enveloping and stabilising the indoor climate; lavender adds a subtle and reassuring presence; mother-of-pearl gently reflects the light; rice husks bring lightness and breathability. Here, even the walls contribute to wellbeing. Straw has taught us what is essential: insulation, silence and balance.

Here, the cold remains outside, noises are softened, thoughts slow down and the body can finally relax. Inside, warmth comes not only from the wood or the soft lighting, but from a place designed to make every guest feel welcome, without hurry and without expectations.

Small gestures, a big difference

Our ecological philosophy

The house opens itself to the mountains with discretion, without imposing on the landscape. It simply belongs here, as though it has always been part of this place. In winter it becomes a refuge, intimate and protective. In summer it transforms into light, breath and silence.

Here, time moves at a different pace.
You wake up with natural daylight, listen to the sound of falling snow or the wind moving through the trees, and rediscover the pleasure of simple things. Every detail is designed to restore balance, renew energy and make even those arriving from afar feel at home.

This is not simply a straw house.
It is a way of life.
It is our way of caring for people, even before they step through the door.

Discover

Who we are

We are a family that chose to slow down.
To listen.
To live according to what truly makes us feel well.

I am Giulia, an osteopath and the mother of four children. Every day, they remind me of the value of what is essential. My work is rooted in deep listening—to the body and to emotions—in respecting natural rhythms and trusting in what nature has always provided. I believe wellbeing is not merely the absence of pain, but the presence of balance, grounding and serenity.

My husband, Hervé, is a mountain guide and ski instructor. The mountains are his inner landscape, the place where he finds clarity and strength. During quieter seasons, he dedicates himself to climbing and hunting, both practised with deep respect for nature, effort and silence. Through the mountains, he shares values of presence, humility and a profound connection with the natural world.

Together, with our children, we have created a place that reflects who we are.
A place where nature is not decoration, but home.
Where wellbeing grows from simple things: silence, wood, light, fresh air and the feeling of being welcomed without needing to prove anything.

This vision led us to build a straw house: a choice made from the heart, even before it was a sustainable one.
A home that breathes, welcomes and protects.
A place designed to help people feel safe, let their shoulders relax and rediscover a more human rhythm.

From this vision, our bed & breakfast was born—not as just another business, but as a natural extension of what we believe in: offering a space where people can truly regenerate, pause and reconnect, even if only for a few days.
Here, we offer more than a stay.

We offer a space to return to yourself.

Welcome to our home.
